An occasional newspaper column and radio interview
concerning the archeology of the central U.S. 

I am Director of Research at the Center for American Archeology in Kampsville, Illinois.  The Center has been conducting archeological research in this area for more than 50 years.  In these columns and interviews I try to explain what we have learned in a non-technical way. 

The newspaper columns are published in the Calhoun News Herald, the Jersey County Journal, and the Greene Prairie Press. I also have a monthly interview on a morning news/talk show on WJBM 1480 AM, Jerseyville, Illinois, hosted by Craig Baalman, the first Tuesday of each month.
